Our Story
Brazza Bio was founded by Johns Hopkins Ph.D. researchers on a simple mission: Bring directly to consumers revolutionary new sweeteners powered by natural sweet proteins that can replace sugar in our diet, thus helping in slowing down the aging process at the metabolic level, without the need of artificial chemicals.
The idea for Brazza began when one of our founders came across sweet proteins in the course of his research. The advantages of sweet proteins over existing artificial sweeteners (including stevia and monk fruit) were obvious, so much so that brazzein and thaumatin seemed poised to revolutionize the way we eat. However, in 2024, sweet proteins were still hard to manufacture and expensive, with counterfeits being commonly sold in online marketplaces like Alibaba.
So we decided to solve the problem ourselves, and Brazza was born. We go above and beyond the ordinary in ensuring the quality of our ingredients, sourced only from reputable manufacturers with FDA review notices.
